Checkpoints

A checkpoint is a snapshot of your project — files and conversation state — taken automatically before the agent starts work. If a build goes sideways, you can rewind to any checkpoint in one click.

When they're created

  • Automatically, before every agent run.
  • Each checkpoint is labeled with the time and what triggered it.

Restoring

  • Open History in the workspace top bar.
  • Find the checkpoint you want and click Restore.
  • Your files and the conversation return to that exact state. Work done after the checkpoint is replaced, not merged.

Tips

  • Restore is the fastest way to undo an agent change you don't like — faster than asking the agent to revert it.
  • Checkpoints don't expire, so an old restore point is always there if you need it.

Note

Restoring a checkpoint only affects the project workspace. Published sites and GitHub repos are untouched until you publish or push again.
