Credits and plans
Credits measure the work Black Hole does on your behalf using its own hosted models. Actions that cost real compute cost credits; conversation does not. If you build with your own provider key, credits are not consumed at all — you pay your provider directly instead.
What each action costs

A failed action does not consume credits. If a build stops with an error, the credit is not taken — you are only charged for work that produced a result.
The free plan
Free accounts get a daily credit allowance that refreshes every day, plus unlimited use of the builder with their own provider key. The allowance is sized for trying Black Hole out and for light ongoing use: enough to plan and build a small site, not enough to run an agency on.
- Daily credits reset automatically; unused credits do not roll over.
- Conversation, clarification, and previewing never touch the allowance.
- Connecting your own key removes the ceiling entirely for building.
What Pro unlocks
- Hosted Power mode — Black Hole's own model chain, no provider account needed.
- Hosted Max mode — the highest-effort chain, for complex multi-page work.
- A far larger credit allowance, sized for daily professional use.
- Priority processing when the platform is busy.
- The Black Hole Agent, for automations that run without you sitting there.
Free accounts and hosted modes
Billing
Payments run through Stripe. Black Hole never receives or stores your card number — the card details are entered on Stripe's own payment page and stay with Stripe. Your Pro status is updated automatically when Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a few seconds.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time from your account settings. Pro features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account returns to the free plan. Your projects, files, and published sites are not deleted when you downgrade.
Checking your usage
The usage page shows your current balance, the daily allowance, and a history of what each action cost. If you build with your own key, that page also shows the usage Black Hole recorded per connection so you can reconcile it against your provider's own dashboard.
